1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the iArise mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and iArise (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Description of Service

iArise is an AI-powered sermon assistant that helps users generate sermon content, access Bible text, and manage their spiritual preparation workflow. The App provides:

• AI-generated sermon guidance and content
• Text-to-speech audio synthesis
• Bible reading with audio playback
• Sermon storage and organization
• Daily affirmations and inspiration

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You may register using:

• Email and password
• Apple Sign-In

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.3 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

iArise offers subscription plans that provide access to premium features. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are displayed within the App.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases. We do not directly collect or store your payment information.

4.3 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle after notice is given.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

“User Content” refers to any content you create, upload, or generate using the App, including but not limited to:

• Sermon text and notes
• Custom challenges and prompts
• Bookmarks and saved verses

5.2 Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content. We do not claim ownership of the sermons or other content you create using the App.

5.3 License to Us

By using the App, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store your User Content on our servers
• Display your User Content back to you within the App
• Process your User Content to provide App functionality (e.g., text-to-speech)

This license is solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App. We will not sell, share, or use your User Content for any other purpose.

5.4 Content Deletion

You may delete your User Content at any time:

• Individual sermons can be deleted from your history
• All content is deleted when you delete your account
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 Nature of AI Content

The sermon content generated by iArise is created using artificial intelligence. You understand and agree that:

• AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and inspiration
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI content before use
• AI content may require theological review and personal customization
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content

6.2 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing all AI-generated content before use
• Ensuring content aligns with your beliefs and values
• Any use of AI-generated content in sermons, teachings, or publications

6.3 No Theological Endorsement

iArise does not endorse any particular theological position. AI-generated content reflects patterns in training data and should not be considered authoritative religious guidance.

7. Bible Content

7.1 Bible Text

The App includes Bible text for reading and reference. Bible content is provided under applicable licenses and is intended for personal, non-commercial use within the App.

7.2 Audio

Bible audio features use text-to-speech technology. Audio quality and pronunciation may vary.

8. Acceptable Use

8.1 You Agree NOT To:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to generate harmful, hateful, or illegal content
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems to access the App (bots, scrapers)
• Resell or redistribute App content without permission

8.2 Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

9. Privacy and Data

9.1 Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9.2 Data Collection Summary

We collect:

• Account information (email, name)
• User-generated content (sermons)
• Usage analytics (with opt-out available)
• Crash and performance data (with opt-out available)

We do NOT:

• Track you across other apps or websites
• Sell your data to third parties
• Use advertising identifiers

9.3 Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data within the App
• Opt out of analytics collection
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your usage statistics

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Our Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by iArise and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

10.2 Trademarks

“iArise” and associated logos are trademarks of iArise. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

10.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App, you grant us the right to use such feedback without compensation or attribution.

11. Third-Party Services

11.1 Services We Use

The App integrates with third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) - Authentication and data storage
• OpenAI - AI content generation
• Apple App Store - Payment processing and distribution

11.2 Third-Party Terms

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

12. Disclaimers

12.1 “As Is” Basis

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of content

12.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• AI-generated content will meet your requirements

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 Exclusion of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IARISE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruption or computer damage
• Any damages arising from your use of the App

13.2 Cap on Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13.3 Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iArise, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your User Content

15. Termination

15.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time. To fully terminate your relationship with us:

1. Cancel any active subscriptions through Apple
2. Delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account

15.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App:

• For violation of these Terms
• For extended periods of inactivity
• If required by law
• At our discretion, with or without cause

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and User Content
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. We will notify you of material changes through:

• In-app notifications
• Email (if you have provided one)
• Updating the “Last Updated” date

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

18. Dispute Resolution

18.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@iarise.io to attempt informal resolution.

18.2 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally may be subject to binding arbitration, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.

18.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

19. General Provisions

19.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and iArise regarding the App.

19.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

19.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

19.4 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
